The Battle of the Sexes

We are currently living in a very confusing generation, men what to be women and women to be men. I call it the Audrey-Andrewiosis. Women have always been considered as the weaker sex, but thanks to Feminists who fought tooth and nail , this  perception has  gradually been eliminated.  The lives of women the world over have become better as they can now work, vote and engage in activities just like their male-counterparts. The constitution is even favoring members of the fair sex as it obligates every firm to have slots specifically for women. It is no wonder then that some men are feeling left out and some of them are drawn into thinking that women’s lives are way easier.

However, there is a breed of skirt-wearers that have emerged recently in our country who are giving women a bad name.  These are women who term themselves as “feminists’’ yet have absolutely no clue about the meaning and actions of the same. They plead gender equity and take it to a whole extreme level. These women think that feminism is all about trying to be a ‘man’. They compete to outdo men in everything just so that they can prove that women are also superior. This notion would not have been messed up if their competitive stamina was based on constructive things. Nay, these so-called feminists have resorted on a mission to outdo men in all the negative mannerisms. They are the women who guzzle down dry drinks without a blink; they spend the whole night jumping from one bar to the next. These women are not to be bothered about home-making and cooking, partying is all they know. Their lips have become darkened from smoking and their teeth stained yellow by nicotine.  Watching football and engaging in vile talk with other patrons at the bar is their new hobby. These women cannot differentiate a sufuria from a mwiko and Sonford is their kitchen as they pass by it every morning from another drunken spree.

Thought men were the only ones allowed to have side chics and ‘chips fungas’?? Well these women will shock you, they have dozens of sex partners, one that suits the occasion and serves the purpose. Relationships are too oppressive and exhausting for them. Why keep one when you can have many?  Casual relations are the new fad for this modern-day feminist. All they want is a man who will party and drink with them, give them a good lay and be gone by the next day.

The other breed of feminist women is those that have decided to take matters into their hands in the name of feminism, literally. If a man cannot provide for their family, then they would take up the responsibility but not before teaching the man a lesson.  These are the women that are famous for beating up their irresponsible husbands mercilessly, with some scalding them permanently with hot water. They have decided that divorce alone will not teach their stray husbands a lesson enough, some have gone to the extent of “de-manning” their spouses by chopping off their members. Well, women are no longer considered the fairer nor gentle sex thanks to these women who’d give Conjestina a run for her money.

The final group of these feminists is the Ninja Assassins. These are lethal women who will stop at nothing to succeed and be wealthy. They will marry for one reason alone, to get into the bank accounts of their spouses. If the husband proves to be an obstacle then they will be eliminated.  Woe unto the man who dares as much as strike such a woman, be it her husband or not, they would be on auto-pilot to the grave. They would use your own money to kill you and there’s nothing you can do about it other than to curse her as you suffer in purgatory.

Well, life has never been easy for either of the sexes. Though it is a bit difficult for women, the issue feminism and gender equity has been blown out of proportion. These women need to take a chill pill and stop giving the rest of us women a bad reputation.

  1. Let’s face it. Behaving like a man just to try and keep up with ‘the boys’ is lewd and I think that is the point Canduh is trying to put across. Sometimes women try too hard to prove they can keep up that they lose perspective of exactly what feminism is about.

    1. Hello Sal, you miss my point. Who says that a behaviour is reserve of the boys and one for the girls? Who decides that girls should behave this way and ladies a different way? And one these decisions are made, how does this promote feminism?

  2. Whereas I agree with you generally, I think you also fall into the fallacies that most women critique fall in. You don’t realize some of your assumptions are culturally based, assumptions that on the surface do not appear bad at all but speak of your prejudices. For example you write

where you give men a blanket pass on casual sex, multiple partners and come down hard on women! For what reasons do you think men have certain privileges which if done by women then it’s taboo topic?

You complain about the women having booze like their male counterparts, what do you find wrong with this? Don’t you think it is the same mindset that allowed many male dominated societies to ensure women couldn’t vote, couldn’t work or if they did worked for less pay and so on.

If you want to fight for women rights, don’t fall into the trap of the prejudices that have set by cultural norms but look for those reasons that treat men and women as equals, that is as human beings deserving equal respect.

    1. thanks for the observations, i may have been guided by fallacies myself but please note that what i intended to put across is the fact that these women who claim equity are themselves erring further by equating themselves to the wrong types of men, the drunken and irresponsible man

      1. you have made a judgement again of people, why do you think the drunken man is the wrong type? Drinking addiction is something that one can be helped to overcome, so why call this type of man the wrong type is I think unfounded.
However, I think it is important to interrogate society and some of its claims or presuppositions as you do here.

  3. Well put Canduh! Well put! People nowadays forget that the real beauty of femininity – not just external beauty which, unfortunately, blinds some men and has been the downfall of many women – is possessed by each woman by the mere fact of being a woman. This is the beauty most of us see in our mothers and sisters… but which is unfortunately being eroded day by day.
